Tranquility for all senses
Throughout the entire year LappeanLohi is a tranquil destination for those after accommodation and family festivities and company meeting organisers. Accommodation is provided in pleasant rooms with plenty of character in the converted old village school. Accommodation in summertime is also provided in traditional camping cabins, or you can even park your mobile home or caravan in our open grounds. LappeanLohi has a spacious festive hall/conference space for organising parties and meetings, and we provide full service to order, from accommodation to catering. Our cafeteria caters to passing visitors and residents alike, serving pastries and fresh coffee or a cool drink for quenching the thirst.
Along the river
LappeanLohi is only around 30 kilometres from Kolari (nearest railway station) and approximately 45 kilometres from Pello. You can reach LappeanLohi from Kittilä Airport in app. an hour and 15 minutes and from Rovaniemi in approximately 1½ hours.
Lappea village
The LappeanLohi smoke sauna is located in a naturally picturesque site along the Tornionjoki and Muonionjoki rivers. It is a historically important building, as following the war it served as a bathing place for almost the entire village of Lappea, because almost no other buildings survived.
Back to school
LappeanLohen's accommodation has been renovated into personal rooms in the former Lappea village school. The history of the village school dates back to 1921, when the Compulsory Education Act came into force in Finland.
Relaxing dreams
You can also come to LappeanLohi with your own mobile home or caravan and stay on a plot with electricity. People camping in tents can also find a suitable spot on the lawn.
Accommodation for many tastes
Lappea has plenty of different accommodation to choose from. The newly renovated main building has 12 individual rooms that can comfortably accommodate a busload of guests. The sizes of the rooms vary from a single room up to a room sleeping four persons. By combining rooms, it is even possible to accommodate a larger group in the so-called family room. The guests have access to clean showers and toilets in the corridor and household linen is included in the accommodation rate.
The apartment located in the old school accommodates a family or larger group of friends (5 + 2 persons). The apartment has a private toilet, shower and kitchen, and two separate bedrooms. The accommodation rate for the apartment also includes household linen.
